The Stickers are here!
They have arrived...the first batch will begin to find themselves quietly moving around town, preping for the arrival of the new website. They may even show up in your mailbox. If you want a sticker, just comment below and we can hook it up. I'm looking to round up some "Clay Street Teamers" to help me sneak these into the eyelines of greater Annapolis. Holla if ya hear me.
In other news, I wanted to keep that posting about the YankeePrincess up there a few days to give the people a look at the fast increasing number of Yankee fans that are moving back here. Soon, Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez will be rumored searching for a spot in the neighborhood, of course on opposite ends of the block. Remember Clay Street is no stranger to athlete celebrities in its confines, Earl "the Pearl" Monroe and Walt "Clyde" Frazier used to kick it back here.
Clay Street is by far the coolest neighborhood in all of Annapolis.

Hi... wondering how I can get a sticker to help support you guys... I don't live on Clay Street, but I do live in Annapolis, and think your efforts will trickle/flow throughout the city!
First with response to real blackman...
Often times we forget that when we are attempting to communicate humor through the internet it does not always come out as intended. With regards to my comments about the Yankees that was said with humor in mind.
I am a Yankee fan and I will not apologize for that. I grew up in a Yankee family. Where I am from originally, you either liked the Mets or you liked the Yankees a large part of that is result of your family. It was passed down from my father and from my grandfather before him. Upon my grandfather's arrival in NYC, he was introduced to the Yankees.
My family came from the former USSR, what is now the Ukraine. They came over to the United States to escape from tremendous religous and personal strife. I was raised in the poorest county in the state of New Jersey. My father who passed his Yankee legacy to me? That was about all he did for me, around 5th grade he stopped showing up. My mother is a single parent who worked three jobs and raised three boys by herself. I'm paying back the same society that helped me get out of my situation.
So, you want to put me in the ego-manical and self promoting category? Well, you got the wrong guy. What I am doing is something more than most, I'm standing out with a purpose. Roll with me, not against me, and we can really get a lot accomplished.
There are hundreds of people back here that are hard working, respectful, and family oriented. My charge is to make sure they get a fair shake. There is a big push back here to get wireless internet, computers for the kids, and provide opportunities in a neighborhood that is passed over because of a long past reputation.
As far as opening a Starbucks? That's a great idea, I'll call The Magic Johnson Foundation, Magic has been opening Starbucks in African American communities around the US for the last 10 years. He employs neighborhood people.
Further emphasis on the great idea that you have with regards to Starbucks, did you know that Starbucks in one of the first companies to be sure that ALL its full and part time employees get healthcare day 1? Great idea. I'll keep you posted what I find out. It may be tricky because there are already quite a few in town but, Starbucks and Magic are very aggressive movers.
